Les Mills BARRE
LES MILLS BARRE™ is a modern version of classic balletic training; a 30-45 minute workout designed to shape and tone postural muscles, build core strength, and allow you to escape the everyday. Incorporating classic ballet positions, with modern music, LES MILLS BARRE is a combination of cardio and strength with high reps of small range-of-motion movements and very light weights.

If you’re seeking a different style of training or a new kind of self-expression, you will love LES MILLS BARRE. Without the traditional barre to support you, the muscles supporting your body’s stability and strength becomes the focus. It may look beautiful, but don’t underestimate the burn.

Outside Fitness
Woodbury’s Outside Fitness Classes take place on the Club’s Tennis Courts or Football Pitch and are designed to allow you to make the most of the wonderfully revitalising Woodbury Common fresh air whilst taking part in challenging exercise. These classes incorporate cardio, strength, stretch and combat elements to ensure that you get an all-over workout. Join us every Tuesday at 18:15 for 45 minutes of fun exercise.

Classes Update
Due to member feedback we have reinstated Boxercise on a Monday at 9:25am-10:10am, please join us.

We have a new Zumba Instructor – Amy Ladbrook. Amy has taken on the Wednesday evening Zumba slot which runs between 20.05pm-20.50pm. Book now and join Amy for her fantastic new Zumba Class.

News from the Gym

I have been working within the fitness industry for approximately thirty years now, as a fitness instructor, nutrition consultant and class instructor in clubs across Devon and Cornwall. I picked up my first training weight at the tender age of fourteen years and I have been training ever since. My passion for weight-training lead to me competing in woman’s Body-Building and the achievement of gaining a national title within the sport.

I still weight train but also enjoy cycling and running but now it is aimed at maintenance and health related fitness.

I am thrilled to take on the role of Wellness Manager and I am looking forward to new and exciting times ahead.
